Services Sales Manager, Professional Services, North America

This is a Full-time position in Chicago, IL posted March 1, 2021.

Sales business function is responsible for growing Basware’s cloud revenue via new customer acquisition and by driving expansion within a satisfied customer base. Through customer-centric selling and collaborative account management we lead prospects & customers through the buying process with Basware, leveraging sales platforms including CRM, CPQ and CLM that support managing the sales cycle.

As trusted advisors with industry and solution expertise we focus on providing value to our customers through advice and insight into best practices. In partnership with Marketing, Customer Services and Partners, we enable organizations to simplify operations, spend smarter and drive the transformation of their Finance & Procurement functions.

Basware Professional Services in North America is looking for a Services Sales Manager to define and propose Professional Service engagements for Basware software solutions.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Develop an understanding of the prospect or customer to identify services sales and upsell opportunities
  • Accurately scope Professional Services resource efforts and drive solutions to standards and standardization
  • Structure end-to-end solutions that address complex customer needs
  • Present business and/or technical concepts and multi-part solutions aligned to customers’ or prospects’ business needs
  • Negotiate project scope as required
  • Demonstrate expertise during calls or reviewing proposal documents
  • Proactively contribute to and maintain a documented business management system that captures current best practice, measures effectiveness and supports continuous improvement

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION YOU SHOULD HAVE:

  • 4 – 7 years of sales and project management experience with an understanding of requirements gathering, scope definition, risk mitigation, and change management
  • Familiar with business processes related to procurement and accounts payable
  • Knowledge of integrating with ERP systems
  • Ability to multitask and communicate effectively to technical and functional audiences
  • Experience working in a global matrix organization with geographically distributed teams an advantage

  • Outstanding written/oral/presentation skills; able to communicate at multiple levels within customer’s organization (executives to analysts)
  • Ability to multitask and communicate effectively to technical and functional audiences
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with ability to translate technical solutions to meet functional needs
  • Resourceful and able to find a path forward with minimal guidance while working within company processes and resources
  • Thrives on working with people in a collaborative way to drive effectiveness
