Senior Vice President of Operations – Sarnova

This is a Full-time position in Chicago, IL posted March 1, 2021.

nnThe SVP of Operations is responsible for leading and optimizing Sarnovas supply chain operations to include kitting production, distribution center operations, logistics, and transportation functions supporting the industrys leading specialty medical device, acute care, and EMS businesses.

In addition, this role will act as the Process/Operational Excellence leader for supply chain initiatives as well as lead our supply chain project management effort.

This position directly manages the VP of Distribution, Kitting General Manager, and Process Excellence/Industrial Engineer, with indirect supervision of their teams across the country.

The SVP of Operations will be an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team and will have ultimate responsibility for achieving distribution service & fulfillment levels, maximizing supply chain profitability and efficiency, and delivering world-class customer service to internal and external business partners.

nn nnThe preferred work location will be at our Sarnova Corporate office in Dublin, Ohio.

Relocation assistance will be provided.

You truly influence the success of the organization by embracing an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset to drive success.nn nnEssential Duties and Responsibilities: nn nnDrive best-in-class supply chain practices by developing and communicating Sarnovas operations strategy and tactics which result in high customer satisfaction levels.nn nnProvide guidance and leadership in a matrix environment in accordance with the Sarnova culture.nn nnContinually improve Sarnovas supply chain through SKU rationalization, shipping/receiving optimization, inventory accuracy & reconciliation, and warehousing automation initiatives.nn nnEnsure the companys medical supply kitting operation is optimized and expanded as per the needs of the business.nn nnSelect, develop, motivate and lead staff to ensure attainment of Sarnovas corporate objectives.nn nnEnsure all legal and regulatory and compliance requirements are met within scope of influence.nn nnMonitor, assess, and manage performance metrics relative to fill rate, inventory turns, back orders, excess inventory levels, service levels, freight costs, order accuracy, etc.nn nnAdhere to budgeting and financial statements, including staffing, labor, supply, and capital expense targets.nn nnCollaborate with Sales & Marketing on identifying alternative sourcing solutions such as private label and global sourcing.nn nnCollaborate with Sales & Marketing to define and manage the impact of category management and product life cycle on Purchasing and Distribution networks.nn nnEnsure continuous process improvement and quality/regulatory assurance goals are met.nn nnAchieve economies of scale in negotiating rates with LTL and small parcel freight carriers.nn nnOther duties as identified and assigned.nn nnSkills/Experience Required:nn nnDemonstrated leadership skills with a proven ability to build trust, gain support, and influence other leaders and staff to implement and manage change.nn nnDemonstrated competency in coaching for business results, empowerment of others, relationship building, and problem solving.nn nnResults-oriented, self-motivated individual who can work in a team environment, as well as make independent decisions.nn nnExcellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with and influence all levels of employees.nn nnHigh ethical standards and a commitment to creating a world-class work environment.nn nnBachelors degree in Business or related field and/or equivalent work experience.nn nnAt least ten years of experience in distribution and supply chain management with increasingly responsible leadership roles.nn nnExperience within the medical device, medical supply, or pharmaceutical industry is a plus.nn nnManufacturing, quality assurance, Six Sigma or similar experience is a plus.nn nnFamiliarity with regulatory affairs and distribution licensing requirements.nn nnProven proficiency with planning, forecasting, and ERP utilization.nn nnAlternative and global sourcing experience.nn nnSarnova is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
