In this position you will lead R&D Tax Credit engagements while performing tax planning, research and resolution of complex tax matters that minimize clients’ tax liability.nn nnThe preferred location for this position is in our Chicago office.

However, this position can take place in any of our U.S.

office locations.nn nnOur firm has offered our employees the option to work remotely at this time.nn nnProfessional Responsibilities:nn Manage and drive the success of multiple research and development tax credit engagements while providing leadership to the team Provide leadership to a team of tax professionals charged with helping clients in the identification, documentation and support of tax positions that are related to federal and state tax credits and incentives Perform tax planning and research, resolving complex tax issues, and offer recommendations to clients relating to their research and development tax credit, and other federal and state credits and incentives Understand and apply changes in legislature as it relates to tax credits and incentives Demonstrate sound judgement and best use of instincts with respect to evaluating complex scenarios involving various credits and incentives opportunities Work closely with the firm’s Federal tax professionals to ensure all clients are receiving an exceptional level of service Generate and sustain client relationships while yielding a meaningful level of revenue and margin contributions on a consistent basis Actively participating in business development with existing clients as well as developing marketing plans for securing new clients Responsible for mentoring and developing team members, managing profitable engagements, formulating sales and go to market strategy, technical review deliverables and develop national and local training programs nnQualifications:nn A Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or a Business-related field of study An advanced tax degree (MST, LLM, JD) is preferred CPA or EA designation required 8+ years of relevant tax experience with R&D credits in a CPA firm, a professional services firm or a tax consulting practice Demonstrated success with tax planning focus with federal credits and incentives Knowledge of a broad range of corporate tax matters in various industries Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite tools Exceptional organizational, analytical and project management skills Demonstrated success in leading and training other tax staff Experience managing multiple client engagements simultaneously on time and within budget Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) Ability to travel to client locations as needed nn What We Offer: nn Competitive base salary and incentive compensation plan A comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental and life insurance plans, a generous paid days’ off (PDO) plan, and a competitive 401k plan A dynamic, diverse work experience in a growing global organization An inclusive, client-centered environment where you can develop new skills, enhance your overall business knowledge and work with world-class professionals Intensive customized training, including in-house leadership development programs, continuing professional education courses, and both classroom and on-the-job training Opportunity for International Mobility experiences are also made available nnMazars in US is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer and maintains a drug-free workplace.nn nn#LI-DF1nn nn Posted 2 Days Ago nn nn Full time nn nn R0001274 nn n About Us n nnAt local and global levels, we are proud of building diverse and rewarding experiences for our people, clients, and for the communities we serve.nn nn Mazars USA LLP is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
