Senior Manager, Special Projects

n n nn In this role you will be supporting the Special Projects team in the development, communication, and execution of our initiatives.

The Special Projects team executes high impact corporate finance and strategy projects in support of Treasury, Corporate Development, Investments and other functional and business areas.

This includes the creation and presentation of qualitative and quantitative analyses that provide critical insights into business and investments performance, liquidity management, capital utilization and strategic opportunities.

Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills, a strategically oriented thought process, exceptional communication skills (both written and oral), and must conduct themselves with the utmost professionalism.

nn nn Responsibilities: nn Assess and present to senior management drivers of operating performance relative to our competitors and our corporate objectives Identify liquidity and capital inefficiencies and examine solution alternatives Analyze and execute capital market transactions, including equity and debt offerings, and share buybacks Support financial evaluations of strategic opportunities, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, capital investments, etc.

Lead the development and analysis of financial models that drive strategic insights and help address diverse business problems Be a thought leader while juggling multiple high-impact projects with competing priorities nn Job Qualifications: nn Previous experience in insurance and Master’s degree preferred but not required Minimum of 5 years of previous investment banking, investment research, corporate development, corporate financial analysis, management consulting and / or strategy experience Demonstrated ability to conceive and execute quantitative analysis and deliver data-driven insights Strong financial analysis, valuation, and modeling skills Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex analysis and recommendations clearly Ability to self-manage progress and deliverables with a high degree of accountability and urgency Eagerness to tackle ambiguous problems Experience partnering with colleagues across an organization as well as an ability to work in a collaborative and team-oriented culture nn -ZR -GD -IN -PT nn nn Posted 4 Days Ago nn nn Full time nn nn R-21-0011838 nn n About Us n nn Kemper at a Glance nn nnThe Kemper family of companies is one of the nation’s leading specialized insurers.
