Your Opportunity

Charles Schwab’s Digital Trading & Experience team is responsible for defining, delivering, and owning the lifecycle of products and services which enable digital trading interactions with clients at scale. Our digital experience is the way that most clients interact with us daily, and we’re passionate about crafting the best experience possible for our users. We work, think and approach problems differently than your traditional financial services firm, and we seek to change both how Schwab operates and how the industry serves investors.

In this role, you contribute to the development of an overarching digital trading experience, catering across a wide spectrum of client profiles and segments. You will collaborate with key partners to integrate our clients’ needs with our trading products and features. You will work alongside other product owners and product teams that are jointly solving trading workflow opportunities that will provide our clients with a cohesive and intuitive digital trading experience.

What you are good at

• Lead building experience strategy and designs, and provide trading perspective for other features in the integrated workflow
• Drive modern digital product management principles and serve as a leader across technology, design and product teams
• Foster an environment of trust, effectively communicating within the scrum team and with an ecosystem of stakeholders
• Serve as a change agent as Digital Trading Experiences team transitions from a product centered approach to a client centered approach
• Represent the voice of the client in all Digital Trading decisions
• Build and evolve our view and understanding of users and the segments they belong to via research and with clients, third parties, and internal partners
• Orient and optimize the delivery of Schwab Digital Trading capabilities to clients in each user segment based on the complexity of their investment needs
• Lead the generation of new ideas based on market analytics and interactions with stakeholders, clients and prospects
• Think “horizontally” to deliver an outstanding experience for our clients across points of interaction / channels
• Champion Agile methodologies, participating in the product owner roles in daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning sessions, backlog prioritization, user story preparation and demos
• Execute brilliantly in a deadline-driven environment

What you have

• 5 + years strong digital product management skills, experience with client journeys, and demonstrated ability to synthesize process data
• A passion for digital innovation and commitment to superb client experience
• Experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team within an interactive process and an Agile development methodology
• Curiosity to continually reevaluate existing designs and processes by leveraging strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to make decisions and progress in the face of ambiguous and at times overlapping priorities
• Effective in managing business risk through assessing risk probability and impact, developing processes for risk mitigation and detection in rollout and test plans, and scenario planning
• Skilled relationship builder – ability to partner cross-functionally, cross-enterprise and work effectively with various levels of the organization as well as various personality types
• Highly developed communication and presentation skills with a superior ability to effectively communicate and present trade-offs, complex concepts, and issues to leadership teams in a highly compelling, persuasive, fact-based manner
• Knowledge of advanced trading platforms and capabilities
• Experience design background is a plus with a keen understanding of broader business needs and strategy
• Bachelor’s degree required
