Outbound Business Development and Partnerships Manager

Help the world get work done faster and better with Webex! We are looking for a member for our Business Development and Strategic Partnership team within the Cisco Collaboration business unit. The team is responsible for studying the market, identifying potential opportunities and then defining our strategy around how we should tackle them, including how we leverage our partnerships to really push forward the best solution for our customers!
What You’ll Do
You will join a team of strategy and planning professionals to understand the larger Collaboration market and work with all of our Business Units to define and execute a winning partnership strategy for Cisco! The team is responsible for shaping and driving the business lifecycle from market opportunity analysis to building the right Go-To-Market – be it build, partner or buy. As the larger industry and markets shift, the right mix of approach and fit of potential partners will change.
You will be identifying new business and partnership opportunities based on our portfolio investment areas by contacting and developing relationships with potential partners through your network as well as outbound channels (LinkedIn, Email, Phone). This role requires a “hunter” mentality, as your time will be spent building relationships, proactively cultivating new prospects, independent prospecting, and other outbound lead generation strategies.

You will be joining a team of experienced Business Development Managers and Strategy Planners. You will be working with a group of experienced and talented Product Managers, Engineers, Marketing and Sales experts from across Cisco and our partners around the globe.

You must have a strong “hunter” mentality. You excel at communicating with and influencing highly qualified stakeholders at the C-level including CEOs and other influencers. You have a pulse on the Collaboration market and are passionate about making technology decisions to drive top-level strategies.

You must be someone who is relentless, autonomous, loves hard problems and fast-paced innovation. You are also pragmatic and resourceful, a “doer” = you do things, quickly and well.

Minimum Qualifications:
10+ years of proven Business Development experience within the technology industry
Track record of success in partnership outreach and relationship building, outbound prospecting, or a related role
Experience working in complex, cross-organizational projects and with demanding partners / customers
Strong communication and team collaboration skills including conflict resolution
Experience with Product Management, Technical Sales, Go to Market, Consulting and/or Engineering desired, though not necessary Sound business judgment and proven ability to influence others You have the ability to think and act both strategically and tactically, at both the industry level and at the individual partner level, including competitive sector dynamics and finding win-win partnerships
