Manager, Retail Sales

OverviewWe are growing our sales team to support the continued growth of the company! We currently have an opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager to join our Retail Vertical. In this position you will be responsible for driving Shure’s Retail business forward by working with internal and external teams in the Midwest US territory to develop and implement exceptional retail channel strategies for our customers.Responsibilities* Lead a team of independent manufacturer’s representative organizations and distributors by establishing strategic plans to achieve and exceed annual sales quotas for Shure product lines. Measure team performance to that plan using key performance indicators, coaching them on adding value to the customer experience.* Direct management of key accounts, developing and executing a progressive business plan based on a strong understanding of our end-user needs that aligns with brand strategy. Develops a detailed knowledge of key accounts and maintains personal contact with key dealers. Reviews dealer programs in regards to performance versus goal, identifies areas of concern and success, and proposes action plans to improve performance.* Works closely with the Regional Marketing team in the retail vertical to increase meaningful exposure of Shure products and the Shure brand.* Monitors territory profit margins, and plans accordingly to meet or exceed division objectives.* Develops and implements an effective schedule of sales meetings, promotional and product planning, trade shows, clinics, business meetings and collaborative efforts cross functionally.* Plans and monitors expense budgets according to fiscal year objectives.* Other duties as assigned.Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field. Graduate coursework is desirable.* Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales management/leadership.* Strong skills in digital marketing, retail and ecommerce strategy.* Working knowledge of the modern retail landscape in assigned territories. Experience with Salesforce or CRM/CSP is a plus.* Previous experience assisting with the establishment of company policies and operational objectives.* Able to lead cooperative efforts among members of project teams. Collaborative and consultative skills to influence others across several functional areas.* Able to interact with senior management or executive levels on matter concerning functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.* Shows thought leadership. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.* Self-motivated and organized, with excellent follow-up. Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.* Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.* Demonstrated ability of working on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data required evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.* Demonstrated experience in determining the best use of resources to meet goals of assignments received in the form of objectives.* Experience with preparing and adhering to a budget.* Responsible for managing the work efforts of supervisors/individual contributors with responsibility for hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews.
