Director – Strategy & Analytics


This is a Full-time position in Chicago, IL posted March 1, 2021.

The Director leads a team of analysts and data strategists to develop cross-media measurement strategy for brands across multiple verticals. This individual should have a strong understanding of tools in the media analytics and research space and will become familiar with internal modeling and technology offerings to recognize project opportunities and represent these offerings to clients.

The Director is responsible for ensuring thought leadership on all clients, and for guiding the direction and development of the Strategy & Analytics group in partnership with the Group Director and Practice Lead .


Primary responsibilities revolve around leading a team to develop and execute industry-leading measurement strategies:

  • Establish an overall approach to data and measurement strategy for given clients, inclusive of construction and maintenance of measurement frameworks, learning agendas, insight generation , etc.
  • Oversee the design, management, and application of third-party research and measurement solutions (i.e. ad effectiveness, sales and footfall lift measurement, ad verification, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain all client relationships inclusive of being the main connection between senior organizational analytics and digital leads
  • Proficient in most of the below system & tools but with a focus on data visualization tools, digital media buying platforms , and third-party measurement solutions like MMM and MTA
  • Advanced knowledge of data governance practices including data QA, general media naming taxonomy, data & platform integration, etc.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels against staff plan along with Group Director
  • Mentor staff on all necessary tools and training to improve upon existing expertise
  • Write POVs on industry topics and provide though t leadership on data privacy laws, third-party measurement tools , and space, the consumer marketplace, vertical expertise , etc.
  • Lead departmental projects and workflows including research & development, product roadmaps, interpersonal and coaching builds, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of full – funnel strategy; synergy between brand and demand media
  • Support new business pitches where need be


  • Bachelors or advanced degree in Statistics, Economics, Business, Math, or Sciences is preferred
  • Minimum of eight years’ experience preferred
  • Experience managing a mid-to-large size team
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication abilities a necessity
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships with other cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage and prioritize competing projects and deliverables
  • Experience with most of the following tools required:
    • Data Visualization: Tableau
    • Ad Servers: DoubleClick
    • Syndicated Measurement: comScore, Nielsen
    • Ad Effectiveness Research: comScore, Millward Brown Digital
    • Additional Third-Party Measurement Solutions: Marketing Mix, Multi-Touch Attribution, cross-channel Reach/Frequency measurement platforms
    • Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
    • Familiarity with: SQL, SPSS, R, Python a plus
