The Digital Marketing Strategist is responsible for providing strategic digital marketing strategies to steer the firm’s digital narrative and drive highly effective digital campaigns to grow business, customer base and improve user experience. Identify unmet goals, opportunities and challenges of the business to create and oversee the execution of a plan through specific initiatives to meet the objectives of the strategy.  This position serves as a vital role in promoting the integration of cross-functional teams and ensuring seamless delivery of marketing plans across business units.

Responsibilities: 

  • Works collaboratively with firm’s growth, sales, and marketing leadership team on creating and executing on the firm’s digital marketing strategy.
  • Provide leadership over the Data, Analytics, Marketing Technology and Digital Marketing channel functions within the firms marketing team ; models and cultivates Wipfli’s core values and outward mindset
  • Is responsible for development of all associates and work product in their functional discipline. Responsible for hiring, firing and promotion decisions.
  • Creates and develops unique strategies and builds upon current client strategies along the advanced marketing scale and within the digital arena to meet/exceed objectives
  • Develops strong, trusting relationships between our industry and service line leaders and agency partners, providing leadership and support during strategy, ideation, and execution
  • Provides strategic plans for multichannel digital marketing programs including website, email, social and paid search, SEO and other types of media.
  • Provide strategic direction for Website and Client Portal User Experience
  • Map out channel and engagement ecosystems, experience maps with content strategists, media and more to fulfill the client journey
  • Analyze customer and user data reporting and provide strategic optimization opportunities using digital analytics data and usability data, where available
  • Manages research studies that yield rich insights into consumer online behavior and key motivational/attitudinal behavior
  • Develops a total understanding of online target audience, buyer persona models, and competitive landscape
  • Provides analysis and recommendations to the Creative, Client Experience, and Strategy teams
  • Manages overall projects, scope and timeliness and ensures appropriate staffing and adherence to budget
  • Work directly with client or marketing account managers to communicate strategy and provide ongoing direction
  • Serve as trusted advisor to internal and external customers, provide recommendations and oversight of digital programs

  • Update and enhance job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, attending relevant seminars/conferences and maintaining personal networks

Qualification:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or equivalent
  • 6+ years of job-related experience
  • Strong organizational, leadership and time management skills
  • Experience in creating strategy and plans for a wide variety digital projects
  • Ability to think creatively and present new digital content ideas
  • Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written communication & presentation skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with SEO/SEM, Google Analytics, Marketing Automation Systems, Content Management Systems (Sitecore Preferred), and Microsoft Technology stack
  • Understanding of traditional and digital marketing, and is a self-starter who excels at bringing proactive ideas to leadership.
