As a leader in serving commercial customers, Wells Fargo offers financial services, including credit and treasury management solutions, as well as specialized expertise across industries including Technology, Food, Beverage & Agribusiness, Investor Real Estate, and Government.nn nnWells Fargo’s ESOP Advisory Group (ESOP) provides ESOP expertise and advisory support for ESOP-owned clients and prospective clients to Middle Market Banking (MMB) offices, Senior Leadership, Credit Supervision, and other key partners across the Wells Fargo national footprint. The ESOP Advisory Analyst’s objectives will include, but are not limited to:nn Completing a 40 hour ESOP educational program including developing proficiency in understanding the following specific duties applicable to ESOP credits at Wells Fargo: Wells Fargo ESOP credit policy The validated ESOP debt capacity financial model The validated ESOP repurchase obligation financial model ESOP related provisions included in term sheets and credit agreements ESOP related impacts on financial covenants ESOP financial statement spreads New ESOP deal screens Written ESOP risk reviews Review of ESOP deliverables Monitoring and updating key ESOP industry trends and/or credit underwriting considerations to (i) communicate potential or emerging ESOP risks; (ii) provide visibility into existing credit cultures, policies, and best practices; and (iii) ultimately guide sound ESOP credit due diligence and/or monitoring practices Gathering and modeling key financial statement data to evaluate – in appropriate context – the relative current and historical fiscal performance of ESOP companies Analyzing existing ESOP loan documents and credit reports for key structural highlights on existing MMB/Wholesale credit facilities, and succinctly organizing said highlights to convey comparative ESOP risk trends and appetites Compiling periodic Specialty Portfolio “evaluations” which synthesize and report on an assortment of ESOP companies and their financial performance, financial return (to Wells Fargo), and credit transaction and exposure analyses Innovating and developing other ad-hoc ESOP analyses, data requests, and reports as determined in partnership with Specialty Industries’ leadership and constituency requests / demand nnUltimately, to be part of the ESOP Advisory Group is to be positioned for a unique opportunity for career development and visibility, while playing an integral part in refining and growing the collective capabilities of the Team.nn nnIn addition to the aforementioned duties / objectives, the ESOP Advisory Analyst position within the ESOP Advisory Group will be explicitly tasked with navigating and evolving the Team’s data sourcing and management capabilities, as well as managing and developing existing and new analytic models to accommodate various ESOP transaction structures and analysis.   nn nnEmployees support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions.

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.nn n n Required Qualifications n nn 2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: account relationship management, credit analysis, credit underwriting management, or risk experience demonstrated through work or military experience; or a Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative field such as statistics, economics, operations research, mathematics, engineering, or business nn n n Desired Qualifications n nn Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills nn n n Other Desired Qualifications n An understanding of the financial dynamics of leveraged buyout analyses Overall self-starter with profound critical thinking skills Strong verbal, written, and visual presentation skills Diligent and respectful operator with regards to data / information sensitivity Ardent ability to gather, analyze, and present data / information from multiple sources, with additional appreciation of intended audience and message Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel Knowledge of Wells Fargo’s Relationship View Middle Market Banking risk experience, including financial modeling and credit / loan document proficiency, preferred Existing familiarity with key Middle Market Banking systems/resources preferred n n Job Expectations n nn Ability to travel up to 10% of the time nn n n Disclaimer n nn nAll offers for employment with Wells Fargo are contingent upon the candidate having successfully completed a criminal background check.
