Control Manager

This broad role provides a great opportunity to expand the candidate’s knowledge of Commercial Banking, its sub-LOBs and all of its supporting Functional Partners.

It also provides the opportunity for exposure to CB’s Senior Leadership, insight into CB’s key objectives and priorities and an ability to sharpen analytical and problem solving skills.

Key Responsibilities: Be responsible for the planning, management and execution of CB Control Management and Governance projects through a project plan and engagement of stakeholders, Determine the milestones and underlying requirements to execute the project plan in conjunction with control colleagues across the firm, business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators and technology control functions Provide updates on the project status to senior management and stakeholders, Must be highly disciplined, a self-starter, and have the ability to execute on assignments independently.

Develop Executive-level materials for key meetings with the Audit Committee of the Board and well as Regulatory presentations Perform oversight of data integrity of information in CORE through data analytics and partnership with Control Managers throughout CB.

Perform ongoing analysis of program related data (e.g., KRI/KPI) and develop ad-hoc reports as requested to support business-related programs and strategies Facilitate interaction and strong connectivity between CB Control and the wider CB Control Community related to emerging topics, ongoing communication, meetings, and learning sessions with an objective of keeping this matrixed team well connected Maintain strong engagement across multiple stakeholders and collaborate with Key senior partners and stay abreast on risk and control agendas Provide ongoing recommendations for improvements by incorporating emerging, key business risks Partner with colleagues across Commercial Banking to help drive a culture of risk awareness and proactive risk identification and assessment Strong ownership with ability to operate in a flexible, dynamic environment where creative and strategic thinking are also required in driving solution, initiatives and projects Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure to meet deadlines Ability to influence key stakeholders, decision makers and colleagues as required to ensure project goals are met Strong analytical, organizational and prioritization skillsQualifications: BA/BS degree 7+ years of experience with background in control-oriented role (Audit, Risk Management, Compliance, Strategy, Program Management, Consulting or other like-experience) Ability to work independently across various levels in the organization Ability to think critically, develop structure and solve problem in a pragmatic and balanced way Ability to influence and drive change Organized with a strong desire to drive execution Team player
