POSITION DESCRIPTIONTITLE: POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for creating and implementing training and networking programs focused on businesscreation and development of resident owned businesses.

Designs, plans, and implements trainingprograms, policies, and procedures.

Oversees the development of training cohorts and provides one onone advisement to starting and emerging businesses.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee the day to day program management of the Business and Entrepreneurialdevelopment program for CHA residents and participants.

Provide guidance to staff assigned to work on Trades and Apprenticeship programs andservices.

Provide support in the overall operations of the Section 3 office Engage in a collaborative effort with other agencies, organizations, partners, internal userdepartments to ensure success of all Section 3 development and training programs.

Co-plan, host and lead events for ROBs for mentorship and networking Supervises, evaluates staff and makes personnel recommendations to leadership staff.

Develops and prepares curricula and presentation materials for entrepreneurial program Facilitate trainings and workshops as needed; observes and evaluates training by staff.

Prepares regular reports of programming activity and makes recommendations to the AssistantDirector.

Develop performance and impact metrics and provides necessary reports.

Tracks all ROB and maintains database of activity Partners with other business development programs to link ROBs to additional trainingopportunities and elevate awareness and promote opportunities for additional training anddevelopment.

Prepare a Section 3 training implementation plan in collaboration with existinginternal/external training programs, small business assistance centers,minority/disadvantaged/women-owned business organizations and job referral agencies.

Create and manage a learning resource center for resident owned businesses.

Ability to effective conduct their assignments independently and within a team.

Demonstrates ability to problem solve, plan, and organize.

Handles multiple high priority projects simultaneously Manages multiple projects simultaneously.

Responds to change in a positive manner.

May be asked to handle tasks outside of job description to meet broader goals of CHA andResident Services.

This position requires working hours outside of CHA’s established hours of 8a-5p MondayFriday.QUALIFICATIONSThis position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in business management or related field or an equivalentcombination of education and job-related experience.

Must be a skilled facilitator and knowledgeable insubject matter.

Should have 3 years’ experience starting, owning, operating or management a business,or similar experience consulting, advising, training businesses.

Must have demonstrated businessacumen and a keen understanding of the entrepreneurial path.Must possess excellent written, verbal and Interpersonal communication skills.

Excellent analytical andproblem-solving skills.

Ability to work Independently and handle multiple tasks and deadlines.

Must beavailable for evening and weekend outreach events, trainings and workshops as assigned by theDirector.

Must be able to work well with internal and external stakeholders and clients in a fast-pacedenvironment.

Previous supervisory experience preferred.
