RealStreet is actively seeking a Business Development Manager to grow the company’s Chicago, IL office. Job Responsibilities :
The Business Develop ment Manager will further RealStreet’s growth by building and maintaining relationships with clients in the region, producing revenue and enabling the company’s ongoing strategic growth. In doing so, they will not only enable the timely sourcing of quality professionals, but also ensuring reliable talent management and ongoing customer satisfaction. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Implementing plans, programs and processes designed to meet or exceed company goals and objectives as well as maximizing market potential to include new bookings (sales), revenue and profitability
  • Identifying, selecting and developing accounts with the emphasis on expanding the customer base
  • Maintaining effective customer communications and building solid customers relationships from initial contact through order acquisition and personnel placement
  • Working with the client and RealStreet’s internal team to create well crafted, compelling job orders
  • Overseeing recruiter efforts to ensure the timely and effective filling of job orders
  • Ensuring contractual obligations are fulfilled while quickly resolving customer complaints, thereby minimizing customer concerns and enhancing customer relations

Job Requirements:

Specific qualifications for the Business Development Manager role include:

  • Five (5) or more years of sales / business development experience, to include:
    • Experience as a Business Development Manager
    • Demonstrated success marketing directly to customers through cold calls, phone sales, networking events and client visits
    • A successful track record in closing sales
    • Proven ability to negotiate contracts
    • A preexisting book of business in the Midwest is highly preferred
  • Three (3) or more years of related industry experience, to include:
    • Professional services or recruiting experience
    • AEC industry experience
    • Affiliations with industry organizations such as the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) and Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) is preferred
    • Federal contracting, subcontracting or teaming experience is highly preferred
  • Computer literate with:
    • Experience using systems such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • A marketing or business degree is preferred, but not required
