This is a Full-time position in Chicago, IL posted February 21, 2021.

Minimum Qualifications* Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Business; Finance; Insurance; Economics; or Human Resources IS REQUIRED.

*(Must provide original college/university transcript at time of interview).* Four (4) years of full-time work experience in a business environment completing financial transactions for an employer of 500 or more employees.* Requires moderate travel to work assignments throughout Cook County.* Valid driver’s license.

*(Must provide at time of interview).* Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States’ territories and Canada must be credentialed by an approved U.S.

credential evaluation service belonging to the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) or the Association of International Credential Evaluators (AICE).

Original credentialing documents must be presented at time of interview.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other CharacteristicsKnowledge of moderately difficult accounting and financial processes in initiating and documenting large financial transactions.

Knowledge of Oracle EBS or similar financial system.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Analytical skills to respond to data and informational requests and prepare related reports.

Ability to assist in developing new procedures and guidelines useful department business operations.

Ability to identify process improvements and take action to resolve.

Strong attention to detail.

Skill planning and completing complex assignments with minimal direction.

Working knowledge of employee benefit plan types, claims processing, membership and enrollment.

This position may require moderate travel to work assignments throughout Cook County.Physical RequirementsSedentary WorkSedentary Work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
