Senior Knowledge Analyst- Automotive and Mobility

Knowledge & Research


As a (Senior) Knowledge Analyst within BCG’s Industrial Goods Practice Area, focusing on Automotive & Mobility (A&M) you will work in a growing global team, providing expertise/insights to our consultants and clients. You will contribute to BCG’s international knowledge sharing and development for the Automotive & Mobility sector including future mobility and digital strategies, partner with case teams and identify and address critical knowledge needs. You will provide customized knowledge for client work, prepare accurate, well developed documents and charts, perform original analysis, give case teams insight, and provide thought partnership.


  • You will be partnering with case teams and clients: providing customized knowledge, preparing accurate, well developed documents and charts. You will be delivering original analysis, insights and thought partnership to case teams and clients
  • Leveraging your own internal and external [automotive] industry expert network in order to bring the right expertise to the client(s) and teams respectively
  • Liaising with our data and research specialists team to ensure that requests for expertise are addressed and appropriate research is delivered
  • Together with consultants you will be collecting, synthesizing, analysing case team learnings & inputs into new knowledge assets (e.g. models and tools, vignettes, case experience). You will be applying them to the context of the client and training teams on how to utilize these tools

Working with topic/sector teams

  • Building & updating topic/sector-related customized knowledge products
  • Collaborating on intellectual capital development such as internal investment projects (Tier 1s)
  • Contributing to content development for Practice Area meetings, industry conferences & trainings
  • Assuring proper sign-off before uploading materials into proprietary knowledge management systems while maintaining client confidentiality



  • Bachelor’s Degree with high academic achievements required, Master’s degree preferred in Automotive Management or similar industry
  • 1-5 year work experience within Auto and/or Mobility sector or similar industry
  • Deep knowledge of and passion about the automotive industry or related segments (Mobility)
  • Specific knowledge within at least one of the following sub-topics: commercial vehicles, component suppliers, and/or product development would be a plus
  • Demonstrable experience with MS Suite including but limited to PowerPoint, Excel,etc
