Postdoctoral Positions in Preeclampsia LaboratoryUniversity of Chicago Medicine Chicago, IL Dr. Rana’s PreeclampsiaLaboratory (https://obgyn.uchicago.edu/research/rana-preeclampsia-laboratory )is seeking a highly motivated postdoc to join our laboratory’s efforts tounderstand preeclampsia. Our laboratory primarily investigates the use ofangiogenic biomarkers for the prediction of preeclampsia related adversematernal and fetal outcomes and seeking new treatments for preeclampsia. Thepostdoc will have the opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary environmentin close collaboration with physicians, statisticians, and molecular andsystems biologists at the University of Chicago. Postdoc responsibilities:

Participates in ongoing clinicaltrials including consenting, collection of human samples and data entry
·
Should have skills to create RedCapdatabase and IRB submission
·
Contributes to, and sometimes leads,the writing of academic papers, reports, and final summaries
·
Assists with planning, development,and execution of research in the laboratory
·
Assists in organizing and managingthe laboratory
·
Participates in writing reports andmanuscripts
·
Works collaboratively with the teamand collaborators
·
Conducts periodic training forcurrent and new members of the laboratory
·
Collects, records, and analyzes data
·
Conducts literature reviews
·
Ensures compliance withinstitutional, state, and federal regulatory policies, procedures, directives,and mandates
·
May serve as a lead researchspecialist
·
Presenting research findings atstaff meetings, seminars, and scientific conferencesJob Requirements:
· MD,
PhD, or equivalent doctoral degreein systems biology, molecular biology, human reproductive biology, pregnancy physiology
· Record of scientific achievement through publications and
presentations
· Strong track record in design and execution of clinical studies
and a passion for translational science
· Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
· Ability to conduct research independently, interest in clinical
trials
· Superb problem solving skills
· Exceptional interpersonal skills
· Experience with flow cytometry, optical microscopy,
immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, molecular biology, and sequencing areoptional but will be helpful
· Familiarity with next-generation sequencing data and
