Develop new user-facing components features Build reusable code and libraries for future use Optimize platform for best user experience, maximizing speed and scalability Collaborate with other team members (designers, developers, product owners) Translate design wires mockups to functioning coded experiences Review pull requests Requirements Great understanding of design principles Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3 Proficient understanding of JavaScript and framework library jQuery Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX Proficient understanding of cross-browser development Proficient understanding of code versioning tool Git An understanding of SEO principles Great problem-solving skills Good understanding of debugging practices Adept at developing responsive designs Bonus Experience with Adobe Illustrator Photoshop Basic understanding of SVG syntax
