Water purification systems for dialysis facilities, including hemodialysis dialyzer and reprocessing systems, as well
as sterilants and filtration products. This segment is operated through Mar Cor Purification, Inc. and MEDIVATORS.

The dental division is the global leader in infection prevention, instrument manufacturing, and instrument
reprocessing workflows, with over 177 years of collective experience in the dental industry. This segment is
operated through the HuFriedyGroup which helps dental professionals be the best in practice by providing a
complete circle of protection in the dental suite, bringing world class products, services, education, and
communities that result in superior clinician performance, superior clinical outcomes, and safety for clinicians and
patients. HuFriedyGroup products are distributed in more than 100 countries.


About the role

Based in Cantel’s Chicago, IL offices, the Senior Director, Human Resources, Dental will serve as a strategic consultant and hands on business partner to the President, Dental on all aspects of human resources including translating business plans into talent and organizational plans. This role will also have management responsibility for Dental-based HR Business Partners. In addition, the Manager, Communications and Presentations will also report into this role. Key areas of accountability include organizational design and development, succession
planning, change management, performance management, training, and development consulting in pursuit of a best in class workforce and working environment. This key business partner enables superior performance by building organizational capability and performance and executional excellence.  #CB

What you will do

  • Builds a strong relationship with the leader of the Dental business and is a trusted and credible partner who anticipates needs and proactively recommends and executes solutions
  • Builds relationships, provides strategic direction and influences at all levels in order to drive implementation of strategies
  • Translates the business plan into talent and organizational strategic plans: owns the human capital strategy for Dental to include organizational design, strategic workforce planning, total rewards solutions, succession planning, and talent management and employee engagement
  • Participates as a member of the global HR Leadership team, implementing HR programs, processes and initiatives to attract, engage, develop, and retain top talent
  • Partners with and influences HR Centers of Excellence to ensure the business is receiving optimal service andvalue-added programs that are aligned with the business strategy
  • Drives toward an optimal culture that facilitates employees’ success including Employee Engagement, Diversity & Inclusion, Performance Management, and Talent Development
  • Drives for a high-performance work environment that makes the organization a great place to work and delivers results

What we are looking for

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 – 10 years human resources or related experience gained through positions of increasing responsibility; minimum of 6 years in HR Business Partner or similar role
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred
  • People management experience is required
  • HRBP experience in a global manufacturing organization is required
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working in a global organization, partnering with HR Centers of Excellence to drive best practice programs and processes
  • SPHR certification is a plus

Specifications / Competencies:

  • Knowledge and practical application of HR disciplines including employment and labor laws, employee relations, management & leadership development, performance management, organizational design and compensation philosophies
  • Adaptive work style and strong executive presence; ability to work effectively with executives and senior members of the organization
  • Ability to solve moderate to complex problems and manage multiple high-priority tasks
  • Ability to establish self as the ‘go-to’ HR resource for the Dental segment and take ownership
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the business and be able to balance human/organizational decisions with business considerations
  • Highly effective leadership and strategic influencing skills
  • Key skills and abilities include conflict management and negotiation, coaching, facilitation, presentation, process development, analysis and problem solving
  • Project and process management skills, demonstrated track record of delivering results
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office products and HR systems

Working Conditions:

  • Work is typically completed in an office setting. Travel may be required 10-20% of the time.
