The Brain Health Vice President leads various WWP teams focused on mental wellness and overall brain health, providing strategic vision and leadership to the Warrior Care Network (WCN) and mental health programs across the mental health continuum of care, including geographically dispersed teams of professionals delivering WWP services to wounded warriors and their families across the country. This organizational executive leader leads organizational efforts related to WWP as a global thought leader and innovator in brain health for veterans, including mental health, traumatic brain injury and other co-morbidities.Note: Warrior Care Network is a partnership between Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) and four national academic medical centers (AMC) of excellence. In cooperation with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This program connects thousands of warriors with world-class care to battle the invisible wounds of war by filling gaps in government care and reaching those who may otherwise go untreated.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES* Lead and manage the mental health management teams, including Warrior Care Network (WCN), Combat Stress and Recovery Program (CSRP), Mental Health Triage, and WWP Talk teams.* Provide strategic leadership and a shared purpose with the four academic medical center leadership within the WCN to sustain and innovate world class care in PTSD treatment, SUD treatment and traumatic brain injury diagnosis and treatment.* Implement the findings of complex research initiatives into impactful programs and partnerships through visionary leadership.* Collaborate, develop, and serve as an integral part of various research initiatives and drive internal and external programming.* Translate strategic objectives into operational goals and priorities, communicating effectively, and creating accountability for actions and deliverables.* Lead geographically dispersed teams focused on delivering high quality mental health care and non-clinical program interventions across the country to warriors and family members.* Develop and strengthen strategic partnerships with other organizations (non-profit, government, and for-profit) that deliver high quality care in the areas of brain health (mental health, brain injury, etc.).* Represent the organization in front of government leaders for legislative initiatives related to veterans’ brain health and/or other related entities.* Present WWP vision and values to potential partners, describing the benefits of WWP programs and services, and inspire them to contribute to WWP vision.* Possess the confidence and ability to present WWP’s impact, research, partnerships, etc., at various academic, scientific, and other various conferences as a solo presenter, part of a panelist, or moderator.* Provide fiduciary oversight and manage operating budget of the brain health portfolio.* Work collaboratively and effectively with other WWP leaders as part of the WWP Executive team.* Analyze and report performance metrics for brain health programs, providing quarterly scorecards and reports on programs’ achievements and status.* Other related duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES* Impactful, influential, empathetic, and visionary leadership skills. Demonstrated understanding of psychological and mental health issues. Demonstrated understanding of the challenges faced by warriors affected by trauma.* Demonstrated understanding of and possessing extensive experience in healthcare environments including payment models and clinical care.* Excellent presentation skills. Confident communicator, with demonstrated ability to present effectively to large audiences, small groups, and individuals including C-suite executives, government officials, and other organizational leaders.* Demonstrated understanding of and extensive experience in budget management and fiduciary oversight principles.* Strong written and verbal communication skills.* Proven leadership and influencing skills.* Proven management skills. Demonstrated success leading, coaching, and mentoring teams to accomplish critical missions in a corporate environment.* Strong organizational and time management skills.
