The OpportunityThis is a unique opportunity to use your healthcare, technology, and sales expertise to lead and build a best-in-class sales organization for a global digital health company. We have a tremendous growth trajectory, and you will lead us to achieve record results!As the Senior Vice President, Health Services Segment, you will be accountable for the end-to-end strategic and functional leadership of our Health Plan Channel. This segment includes: Commercial ASO/Fully Insured, TPA, Government, Medicaid, Medicare, and Exchange Markets.In this role, you will be a key contributor and thought leader behind existing and new payer product and service offerings, and our strategy payer roadmap. If that isn’t enough – you will lead a large organization consisting of sales, client management, and related leaders and professionals, serving as the general manager for the segment.Your KPI’s will span from strategy development, complex contract design, quota achievement, client growth, ongoing service delivery, expansion, client satisfaction and retention for Health Plan Segments clients.The key to success in this role is operating, leading, and executing in a complex functional and matrix management structure, working closely with leadership in at levels within all departments including: Product, Data Science, Technology and G&A.Responsibilities* Drive the development and execution of Health Plan Segment sales and client strategies, as well as work directly with world’s largest health plan clients cultivating executive relationships, building business partner solutions, developing client’s virtual health strategy and growth* Ensure successful coordination of internal cross functional subject matter experts. This role is accountable for overall sales growth, net new clients, client satisfaction, and retention* Lead, measure, and demonstrate the impact of health care virtual services across populations and products* Innovate a new virtual health opportunity use cases and growth opportunities to solve client needs and drive new business* Work closely with CEO on key partner a strategic opportunities* Manage of a large team of senior leaders, and sales and client management team members to drive individual and team performance to meet financial goals* Build the account strategy including targeting, market assessment, proposal development, and pricing* Represent Teladoc Health at external events, conferences, and key speaking opportunities* Exhibit thought leadership and deep understanding of the Medicare and Medicaid managed care landscape, including cost containment strategies, engagement, utilization, government and client requirements, market drivers, and buying cycles* Represent the voice of the customer, market trends, use cases and innovation both externally through speaking opportunities as well as internally supporting strategic client partnerships.* Attract, retain, and lead a talented cross functional team toward an aligned market strategy* Engage with Legal on regulatory changes and interpretations, working in tireless pursuit to push the envelope and drive innovative strategies to expand the Medicaid/Medicare business* Coordinate strategy and issue resolution with Finance, Operations, Data Transfer, Legal, Product, and IT and support new business development teams on go to market concepts specific to Medicare and Medicaid* Manage and communicate key performance metrics with Teladoc leadership* Identify growth opportunities across portfolio via additional lines of business and upselling* Manage all client touchpoints and lead government strategy task forces, working with various departments to identify and bring to realization government strategiesCandidate Profile* Direct account responsibility for selling for the largest accounts, working with the Executive team and your own team* Management of a large team of senior leaders, and sales and client management team members* Relationship development with key customer(payer) Executives* Sales and account strategy including targeting, market assessment, proposal development, and pricing* Key contributor and though leader behind existing and new payer product and service offerings and development of payer product roadmap/strategy* Represent Teladoc Health at external events, conferences, and key speaking opportunities* Develop and maintain key relationships across a broad sphere of influence* Works closely with CEO on key partner a strategic opportunities* Participates as a member of, or acts in a senior capacity as needed, on governance bodies and joint project teams with clients* Exhibit thought leadership and deep understanding of the Medicare & Medicaid managed care landscape, including cost containment strategies, engagement, utilization, government and client requirements, market drivers, and buying cycles.* Understand the unique needs of this market to ensure the company’s operations, clinical network, products and IT capabilities can profitably and compliantly service this population.* Represent the voice of the customer, market trends, use cases and innovation both externally through speaking opportunities as well as internally supporting strategic client partnerships.* Attract, retain and lead a talented cross functional team toward an aligned market strategy.* Engagement with Legal on regulatory changes and interpretations, working in tireless pursuit to push the envelope and drive innovative strategies to expand the Medicaid/Medicare business.* Develop and foster executive level relationships within health plan clients and prospects.* Build strong internal network through various cross functional departments.* Lead clients with clear expectations and roadmap delivering value, balancing the needs of the client with the goals of the organization.* Coordinate strategy and issue resolution with Finance, Operations, Data Transfer, Legal, Product, and IT and support new business development teams on go to market concepts specific to Medicare and Medicaid.* Manage and communicate key performance metrics with Teladoc leadership.* Identify growth opportunities across portfolio via additional lines of business and upselling.* Drive individual and team performance to meet financial goals.* Manage all client touchpoints and lead government strategy task forces, working with various departments to identify and bring to realization government strategies.* Manage multiple projects simultaneously transparently, ensuring that all internal and external stakeholders understand the projects goals and deliverables.Requirements* A passion for making an impact in health care and on people lives coupled with high energy and enthusiasm* Understand the unique needs of this market to ensure the company’s operations, clinical network, products and IT capabilities can profitably and compliantly service this population* 15+ years in Healthcare Client Management leadership required, including minimum of 10 years managing Government Business clients* Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred* Innovative problem solver, ability to navigate new and emerging markets where historic and current regulatory dynamics can be uncertain* Demonstrated capacity to manage changing priorities and ambiguity while remaining calm and controlled* Exceptional relationship building and demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams* Excellent leadership skills and
