This position is geographically based and spends significant time in the field with customers.

Strong leadership and teamwork skills are required.

The position requires experience and knowledge to integrate with sales management, marketing, R&D, clinical science, clinical operations, and other cross functional groups.

This position also requires project and program management skills for the development and execution of field and customer product training programs.nn nn WHAT YOU’LL DO nn nnAs a member of the Structural Heart Training team, the Amplatzer Amulet LAA Occluder National Trainer job requires the following responsibilities:nn nnTeamworknn nn-Integration with Abbott’s Product Training department team members to develop programs, content, curriculum needed to authorize new sites, physicians and Abbott proctors for optimizing clinical outcomes, efficiencies, and program developmentnn nn-Collaboration and alignment with commercial leadership and marketingnn nn-Member of R&D product design teams as needednn nn-Collaboration with Clinical as needednn nnLeadership skillsnn nn-Drive alignment with sales leadership on key strategic training needs (new hires/sites, product launches, challenging outcomes, etc).nn nn-Collaboration with KOL physicians and Abbott cross-functional teams (R&D, Clinical, Marketing, etc) for alignment on critical training initiativesnn nn-Ability to work confidentially for individual product performance assessments and coaching.nn nnInterpersonal, Presentation, and Implementation Skillsnn nn-Commercial training skillsets to implement adult learning principals for Abbott field representative and physician traineesnn nn-Work one-on-one with new hires, existing Abbott field representatives, or physician heart team members to support outcomes and efficiencies along with best practicesnn nn-Present and train at Abbott field and customer educational programsnn nn-Product, procedure, and screening training content creationnn nnProgram Managementnn nn-Own training course design, presenter, content, and logistics as needed to support commercially available devicesnn nnAnalyticsnn nn-Monitor product performance outcomes for additional training or product design inputnn nnContent Creationnn nn-Development of training curriculum for commercial devices.

Working with KOL thought leaders, R&D, Training, Clinical Engineering to create new training content.nn nnThis position is accountable for US Amulet product technical training of field and customers to ensure optimal outcomes with appropriate compliance.

In-depth product knowledge, program management, and commercial training skillsets will be required.

Ongoing cross-functional team partnerships with Commercial leadership, MD KOLs, Marketing, R&D, Clinical Engineering, Clinical Science, Quality, and others are also critical for successful plans and implementation.

Field-based customer interactions for training and challenge case diagnosis/solutions will also facilitate optimal clinical outcomes & efficiencies.

All locally learned training and best-practices will be transformed into training curriculum.nn nn EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING nn nn Required nn nnBS/BA in business or science-related field to reflect educational level of customers being called on nn nn3-4 years as a sales representative (or clinical specialist in a commercial organization) in the healthcare industrynn nn1-2 years as an in-house or field-based trainer, or in a related sales support settingnn nnAbility to serve as an effective member of multi-disciplinary teamsnn nnAbility to learn, understand and train highly technical concepts to sales team membersnn nnProficient in computer applications as needed by the position and to support Field Sales applicationsnn nnExperienced in adult learning principles and able to apply them for classroom and sales meeting trainingnn nnDemonstrated effectiveness at group presentation skills for the classroom and sales meetingsnn nnDemonstrated effective written communicationsnn nn Preferred nn nnThe ideal candidate will have the following preferred qualifications:nn nn5-10 years of relevant work experiencenn nnDirect experience working with and training physician customersnn nnA clinical background and/or strong clinical knowledge and aptitudenn nnProgram management experiencenn nnStrong communication skills, specifically an ability to deliver effective training to large and small audiencesnn nnAbility to work with several levels within the organization and in cross functional teamsnn nnSolid understanding and application of business concepts, procedures, and practicesnn nnWorking knowledge of Microsoft office applicationsnn nnStrong preference will be given to candidates with Structural Heart experiencenn nn WHAT WE OFFER nn nnAt Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
