Simply Smart Technology is an IT Managed Services Provider seeking a highly motivated IT Support Technician to join our growing company.

Our team assists local business by providing comprehensive technology solutions for their company’s internal technology.n nTechnicians work closely with our clients on desktop, server, and network technology within a wide variety of environments.n n The Position: n nFull-time (salaried / 40 hours a week)n nORn nPart-time (up to 30 hours / week)n n The Role: n nThe Help Desk Specialist works directly with our clients over to deliver high quality, accurate, and helpful technical support.n Handle complex troubleshooting of desktop and server systems Find the root cause of technology issues Be prepared to escalate a request, pull in teammate, or ask for help in the right situations Collaborate and work with teammates on new and ongoing issues Create documentation about common problems / fixes, computer systems, servers, and network layouts Cross-train teammates by co-working on troubleshooting tasks Go onsite to clients’ offices to provide in person tech assistance Work in a fast paced environment with deadlines n Office: n nSimply Smart Technology is conveniently located at 11 E Hubbard St, next door to Andy’s Jazz Club and Shaw’s Crab House.

The office location is an easy commute and within walking distance of all the ‘El’ lines.n nThe office itself is a bright and open timber loft space equipped with modern amenities.n n Requirements n nWe are looking for individuals with good character, a genuine interest in technology, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technology problems.n n Bachelors of Science from accredited 4 year University (completed OR in progress) 1-3 years experience doing direct hands on troubleshooting and IT Support Previous experience in computer support, internship, part-time job, computer lab, etc.

In-depth knowledge of command line utilities Comfortable working with Window 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 operating systems Comfortable working with Mac computers / OS X Ability to follow written processes Team oriented approach to problem solving Excellent communication skills, written and telephone Ability to self-start Experience writing batch scripts, PowerShell, or VBScript is a plus Industry certifications are desired Must be eligible to work in the US without needing sponsorship n n Benefits n nSalary negotiable based on experience.
