The Project Manager, Finance & Accounting is responsible for the planning, management and successful execution of departmental projects, as well as supporting transformational initiatives. As part of the Business Transformation team, this role will manage project budgets, resources, timelines and risks to support deployment of multifaceted change efforts. The F&A PM will report to the Director, Project Management Office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a complex portfolio of financial projects and transformation initiatives
  • Partner closely with the CFO and other Finance & Accounting department leads to track and prioritize departmental work in alignment with organization goals
  • Refine F&A project tracking methodologies, departmental status reporting, project health tracking, and resource forecasting
  • Develop project plans that encompass all project milestones, and adhere to deadlines for the overall success and closure of projects
  • Oversee the tasks and status of assignments to ensure personnel are actively working towards established milestones while managing scope and mitigating risks
  • Provide project visibility to department leads, key stakeholders and project teams through regular meeting cadence and status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues
  • Develop relationships with colleagues and lead driving projects forward in synergy
  • Report on project success criteria, metrics, and maintain expected standards
  • Lead by example through project management best practices and continuous improvement in alignment with overall company strategies
  • Support organizational process and change management through effective communication and aligning clear goals and objectives
  • Demonstrate teamwork, innovation and excellence within daily work

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years’ experience in a financial or accounting PM role; Ideally 6+ years’ experience in finance or accounting field
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance, or related field
  • Knowledge of public accounting business processes
  • Experience with project management software, such as Smartsheet
  • Project Management Institute certification preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and drive projects with minimal supervision
  • Effective communicator with high attention to detail
  • 10% travel required
