Creative Financial Staffing
Client is a middle market manufacturing company in the Northern Suburbs.
Looking for a person that has full ownership of the financial statements and own the PL of the company.
Responsibilities
• Work closely with the President to execute the strategic vision and long-term plan for the future of the Company.
This will include evaluating and enhancing the general financial management and budgeting processes and system of internal controls.
• Helping and supporting Costing methods
• Understand implications of financial results and proactively communicate to operations team the areas of concern and reason for gaps in expected outcome.
• Oversee the month-end close, treasury and budgeting activities for the Company.
• Work closely with the CEO to provide overall budgeting and analysis with clear insights and decisions to support the strategic initiatives.
• Must possess strong capabilities in leading and executing statistical/analytical modeling forecasts based on the key metrics of the business.
• Manage a staff of people responsible for AP, AR, Invoicing and accounting/financial activities and outcomes.
• Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts while evaluating programs that minimize DSO, optimize liquidity, improve operating, investing and financing cash flows and minimize risks.
• Maintain general ledger and integration with reporting modules.
• Prepare monthly financial closes and consolidated financial statements.
• Prepare consolidated forecasts and other reports and analysis as required.
• Prepare financial information so that outside accountants can complete tax returns.
• Work with sales to understand and track changes in the sales forecast and signal financial benefits and consequences of forecast changes Qualifications
• BS in Accounting or higher
• 7-10 years of finance/accounting experience, experience in technology service and/or construction preferred.
• Experience with Cost accounting is a plus.
• Experience preparing budgets and forecasts and related analysis.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Creative problem-solving capabilities with a proven track record of taking ownership of issues and orchestrating resources to meet goals.
• Experience within a growth, outcome-based and execution-focused organization a plus.
• Proven track record of trustworthiness and discretion in dealing with confidential information.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate financial results into operational recommendations.
• CPA a plus
